Portrait of Giovanni Antonio Rossi

Giovanni Antonio Rossi (1724-1806) appoints the Ospedale Maggiore as the universal heir of his material goods consisting of "folders of Monte Napoleone". The portrait is commissioned from Abbondio Bagutti (it is the first realized by this painter for the picture gallery) and follows the traditional scheme of the "set portrait", but with the benefactor in an infrequent pose, sitting with his legs crossed.
