Giovanni Rizzi (1844-1920), was a native of San Giuliano Milanese, from a noble and wealthy family. He graduated in medicine in Pavia, and was a doctor at the Ospedale Maggiore, concluding his career as chief of surgery. He makes three substantial donations during his life to Ca 'Granda: the first of 100,000 lire when he stops working, the second ten years later, of 500,000 lire, reserving a usufruct and asking for the establishment, at his death, of the "Foundation of the brothers Giovanni, eng. Emilio and Francesco Rizzi of Montone for the poor sick of the Municipality of San Giuliano Milanese" to take care of the hospitalization and convalescence of the sick of those born in the Municipality, the third of 260,000 lire, with a usufruct in favor of a sister-in-law, for the extension of the urological pavilion "Cesarina Riva".
