Giuditta Jamotti (1761-1841), of modest economic conditions, appoints heir of her small estate, inherited from her brother a simple chocolate producer, the Ospedale Maggiore. The portrait of Giuditta Jamotti was commissioned from the painter Giulio Cesare Poggi, author of several hospital portraits, who depicts the elderly benefactor with lively realism, strongly characterizing her face framed by the bonnet.
