Giuseppe Quaglia (1720-1801) priest, established as universal heir the Ospedale Maggiore, which commissioned the portrait from Filippo Bellati, a painter active in Milan in the first half of the nineteenth century, follower of Andrea Appiani, also known as fresco painter, and who performed nine portraits for the Quadreria Ospedale.
