Dr. Pittaluga (1876-1956). His significant scientific contributions made him one of the most important physicians of his time, a key figure in the development of biomedicine in Spain. He also proved to be an excellent orator and prolific writer, possessing a great sensitivity to poetry, which brought him close to Unamuno, whom he visited several times in Salamanca.
