Christopher says: "I loved the jovial relaxed smile of Ian despite the awful circumstances and pressure he was under as a healthworker during the Covid-19 pandemic. I remember being a patient in hospital a few years ago and being very inspired by how the banter, humour and positivity of the health workers would keep your spirits up. it was a great honour to do his portrait for such a positive idea of Portraits of NHS Heroes."
