Portrait of Isaak Noah Mannheimer

Together with his orthodox colleague Lazar Horowitz, Isaak Noah Mannheimer devised the Vienna liturgy, a compromise between reform and orthodox ideas. In doing so they established a practical basis for a single Viennese community. The Vienna liturgy soon spread throughout the entire monarchy.
