Louis Jacques Mande Daguerre (Cormeilles in Paris, November 18, 1787 - Bry sur Marne, July 10, 1851) French painter and inventor, was a pioneer of photography with the invention and diffusion of the daguerreotype system. His work in stage design place it among the most important men of the theater of his time. The audience admired his ingenious sets, they reached the peak in his show called Diorama, opened 1822 with a decorated large sense of depth that developed through their knowledge of physics, perspective and lighting effects. Daguerre was also interested in photography. Based on the gains made by Joseph Nicephore Niepce heliographic this called, he perfected the method of fixing images and managed to reduce exposure times, getting results sharpness and stability. The process discovered by Daguerre was named daguerreotype and presented publicly in 1839.
