Engineer Luigi Salici does not directly benefit the Maggiore Hospital. His son Roberto (1894-1961), was leader of Philips, an antifascist and pacifist, when he donated his entire estate to the Hospital in 1961, sent, together with his legacy, to honor his memory, the portrait of his father Luigi, executed between 1920 and 1925 by Giuseppe Palanti.
