Marianna Maroni Bordoni (1839-1902), wife of Francesco Bordoni (founder and owner of the Vetrerie Milanesi), despite being dedicated to philanthropy and having also founded a nursery school in Via Bergognone, does not directly benefit the Maggiore Hospital. Her son Domenico, who continued his father's business, gave Ca 'Granda a legacy of 500,000 lire in memory of his parents, to which he also added two pairs of their portraits, one made in 1904 by Arturo Ferrari and the other, contemporary , by Enrico Bartezago.
