A high quality photograph of a portrait in oils, of Nano Nagle. The painting is framed and unsigned. The painting was probably painted in Bath, in late 1760 or 1770s. Original hangs in Nano Nagle's convent parlour , at Nano Nagle Place, Cork. While it is often attributed to James Barry RHA, there is no conclusive identification of the painter; James Barry regularly painted Catholic subjects, but it is possible that this was painted by one of his students.
