Portrait of Paolo Recalcati Cernuschi

The Marquis Paolo Recalcati Cernuschi (1705-1774), senator, one of the twelve provincial curates, deputy of the Ospedale Maggiore from 1732 to 1773, earmarks it a legacy of 36,000 lire. The commission of the portrait is entrusted to Anton Francesco Biondi who, with this canvas, begins his activity for the Hospital for which he will make twelve portraits over a period of thirty years.
