Pompeo Confalonieri, of a noble Milanese family, renowned jeweler with shop under the northern arcades in Piazza Duomo in Milan, died on May 21, 1905 and sent to the Maggiore Hospital through his executor, lawyer Cesare Agrati, who had been given the freedom to choice on the recipients of the legacies in charity, a legacy of 250,000 lire for the construction of a new pavilion, which should have arisen in Via Manfredo Fanti 6, intended for those seriously ill from surgical infections.
