Museo del Duomo e Cattedrale di Fidenza

The portrait is drawn by the picture of Pious VI painted by Giovanni Domenico Porta and reproduced in copper by Domenico Cunego, probably in the year of his election (1775). The presence of his portrait in Fidenza is due to his sojourn in the episcopate between 14 and 15 april 1799 while carried in France as a prisoner, where he died some months later in the fortress of Valence.
