Composition in blue tones, black, ochre, white, earthy, gray, red and green. Smooth texture. Portrait of full body man, standing, and behind a bookcase with books. The pictured has rectangular face, short dark hair with lock falling over the on the left side of his forehead that is wide; has straight eyebrows, almond-shaped eyes turned to the left, with small nose prominence and reddish outlined lips and chin straight. wears "fumoir" black with blue piping, white collar and cuffs, pants and black shoes. Arm bent on the right with hand on her hip and on the left along the body, seeing themselves green ring on the third finger and holding a closed book that is in the page marked by his index finger. Walk on the right profile and on the left front. The portrayed is almost leaning against a bookshelf that crosses the entire width of the support and that goes to the shoulder height of the portrayed. She has five shelves, foot-shaped claw, and is finished off on a carved frieze. On the left on the shelf for three closed books of which one of them find themselves two markers tape with currency. On the books there is an owl, 3/4 toward the on the right, probably crockery. To the right of the composition near the depicted part of a low bench on which is perched kind of probably Chinese vase. The floor seems to be lined with carpet in tone reddish earthy.
