Portrait of Scientist

“Portrait of a Scientist” was painted in Amsterdam and reveals both the individual features of the subject and the content of his spiritual life to good effect. Looking out from the portrait is the face of a serious, wise and much experienced thinker. The scientist’s gaze, directed right at the viewer, is careful, thoughtful and a little weary. The portrait has been painted in very subtle gradations of colour.
