Portrait of the writer José Martínez Ruíz «Azorín» (1873-1967) in his study. «Azorín», along with Unamuno, is one of the central figures of the Generation of '98, a term that himself coined to define the group of his contemporary writers who shared a spirit of protest and a deep concern for the regeneration of Spain after the loss of the colonies in the so-called «Disaster of '98».
