In the 31st year of King Seonjo's reign she was born in Geumgye-ri, Andong, Gyeongbuk, and passed away in Seokbochon, Yeongyang, Gyeongbuk at age 83 during the 6th year of King Sukjong's reign. In her later years her third son, Galam Yi Hyeon-il was recognized as Salrim, a great scholar who had been living in seclusion, and was later appointed to Ijo Panseo, minister of Personnel. Therefore, she was conferred with a Pumgye of Jeongbuin.
