The full-figure silhouette of a woman portrayed by the kabuki actor Onoe Kikugorō III is probably the heroine of the drama "The Disputed Succession" (『伽羅先代萩』, ‘Meiboku Sendai Hagi’), the courtesan Takao – famous for her beauty and loyalty. She rejected the advances of her beloved in order to save his family, but due to a misunderstanding was killed by the resentful Yorikane. After this event, misfortunes fall upon the Yorikane’s family and his son Tsuruchiyo, who becomes the head of the family and requires special security provided to him by the warrior Arashiji Otokonosuke, among others.
