Postcard with a view of the second city hall of Kansas City, located at the intersection of 5th and Main Streets, in what is now the River Market neighborhood. The building was finished in 1891 and served as the seat of government until the completion of the 3rd city hall, an art deco skyscraper, in 1937. The site of the old city hall shown here is the location of the City Market, which was going up at the same time as the old city hall was being torn down.
