A postcard depicting the Hindu deity Saraswati, rendered by an unknown artist. The image is inspired by Raja Ravi Varma's famous painting of Saraswati. As in Varma's composition, Saraswati is seen here seated within a natural landscape with a peacock (rather than a swan, which is meant to be her mount). Printed in Germany for the Indian market.
