A photographic postcard of the Pillar Garden at Hidcote Manor in Gloucestershire, featuring columns of yew topiary lined with shrubs. Undated, but perhaps c.1960. This iconic garden was the creation of the American-born, Lawrence Johnson (1871–1958), who began work there after the estate was purchase by his mother in 1909.
