Travelers often collected postcards of the inns and hotels they visited. At small inns, such as the one pictured here, guests enjoyed tranquil landscapes, quaint towns, and fresh air. This postcard, postmarked 1940, captures the experience of one traveler who wrote on the reverse side, "All in love with B.H. - found this very comfortable inn_. Most beautiful drives and roads. Air and views marvelous. Town is interesting, many lovely homes on pretty streets."
