Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln attended Oak Ridge cemetery’s dedication in May 1860. A few years later, Mr. Lincoln mentioned that he would like to be buried in a quiet place. Mrs. Lincoln remembered his request and chose Oak Ridge cemetery. Three of their sons and Mrs. Lincoln are also buried here. Robert Lincoln is buried in Arlington Cemetery in Virginia.
