The slogan on this poster was issued on the IX. Party Congress of the SED. Slogans that anticipated the direction of the Party congresses in order to influence GDR's society according to plans of the SED in advance, were part of the propaganda.
An objective of the Party program resolved on the IX congress was the further development of the GDR from a socialist to a communist society. It therefore focused on the future of the youth and their communist education - as this poster reflects.
