Poster produced for the film 'Anmol Ghadi' (trans. Precious Time) — an Urdu/Hindi film directed by Mehboob Khan, released on 11th November 1946 and starring Surendra, Suraiya and Noor Jehan. Alongside visual representations (Noor Jehan on the right end, with Surendra and Suraiya's busts in the foreground), their names are also featured on the top end of the poster, above the title — rendered in English. It was the highest grossing film at the Indian Box Office in 1946 and was a musical hit. Composed by Naushad, its music included hits like "Aawaaz De Kahaan Hai", "Jawaan Hai Mohabbat Haseen Hai Zamana" and "Mere Bachpan Ke Saathi Mujhe Bhool Na Jaana". The film also featured famed playback singer, Mohd. Rafi's first notable song, "Tera Khilauna Toota". Worth noting, is the treatment to the ghadi (clock) in the poster — a pun on the title, and referring to the passage of time.
