In the 1920s, Stefan Norblin was commissioned by the Ministry of Transport to design a series of posters aimed at promoting Poland in Europe - including Warsaw, Toruń and Lviv. On the poster promoting Zakopane, the artist placed a highlander in a traditional folk costume.
