A prayer for longevity, happiness, good health, peace, wealth, a high position and the prosperity of descendants have been usually written on the pouches.
These are pouches made of silk, where people could put their spoons and chopsticks, and that women needed to prepare as a bottom drawer. Spoon is a symbol of life. The front of the pouches is embroidered with a peony blossom, a lotus flower, or a crane, whereas their back is embroidered with letters such as Soo (壽), which means longevity, and Bok (福), which means good luck.
