A product equally typical of the Etruscan bronze industry as the mirrors are the so-called cists, large, usually cylindrical vessels with lids and figuratively designed feet and handles on the lid. The wall of the cists often is decorated with a continuously engraved frieze of mythological scenes. Again, Praeneste is the verified production site for these containers used by women and men alike for jewellery, cosmetics and other items of daily use.
