Praenestinic Cist

A product equally typical of the Etruscan bronze industry as the mirrors are the so-called cists, large, usually cylindrical vessels with lids and figuratively designed feet and handles on the lid. The wall of the cists often is decorated with a continuously engraved frieze of mythological scenes.
