As far as we know, Gargallo carried out, in addition to possible collaborations in works commissioned to Eusebi Arnau, three works of a funerary nature: the tetramorphs of the Four Evangelists, ca. 1906-11, executed by order of Domènech i Montaner for the pantheon of the Font family, in the Canet de Mar cemetery (which are four interesting figures carved in stone, with clear symbolist inclinations and directly related to some of his sculptures for the Hospital of the Holy Cross and Saint Paul); this relief for the Pidelaserra family; and the Tomb Statue of Mrs. Pidelaserra, 1917, also installed in the Sants cemetery.
The delicate execution of the figure of the angel, the length of its fingers and all the iconographic details give this clearly symbolist sculpture a certain mannerism that is unusual in Gargallo's work.
There is a medal, modeled by Gargallo perhaps at these same dates and edited by Masriera, which is identified with the title Salve, ca. 1912-13, and has iconographic and formal relationships with this relief.
