Poster: Premiere of Rossini’s opera “The Barber of Seville” in a splendid cast: Ada Sari, Wanda Trojanowska, Stanisław Drabik, Zenon Dolnicki, Bol. Fotygo-Folański, Karol Urbanowicz
The collection of Władysław and Zofia Bartoszewicz contains a set of posters for opera performances, staged on the big stage of the Old Theatre in Cracow during occupation. In 1941 Stanisław Drabik became the manager of the open opera company, with whom he prepared one performance a month on average. The posters are all the more valuable as Stanisław Drabik is also related to the history of post-war Wrocław, as he created an opera company in the ruins of the war-damaged city. To him we owe the first performance of "Halka" by Stanisław Moniuszko on 8th September 1945.
