Museo de Huelva

Museo de Huelva
Huelva, Spain

This work is framed in the last surrealist painter stage, with hues that relate to other creations of symbolic overtones. It is a work of simple composition, perspective, achieved with the use of an architecture of pure lines, reminiscent of the houses of the desert areas. Both the setting and the aridity is perceived in the paint, coupled with a certain melancholy, and a play of light and shadow and the predominance of warm color palette evokes the summery image of hot and dry environment, not without some mystery.
A seated female figure, with a light white dress, focuses the composition. His head is partially covered by a cloth awning making, which obscures the facial expression and accentuates the enigmatic scene. Rest in attitude, not Heed the call of another figure, behind her, whose face is not defined.
