Preparing for the dance

Like any usual San ritual the dance begins with men and women gathering around the fire, and a few of them collecting enough wood to keep the fire going as the ritual continues night long. The women of the community sit circling the fire clapping and singing ancient, haunting rhythmically weaving several rhythms.
