Tomàs Roures Saura (1949 ) Originally from  Les Coves de Vinromà, in 1952 he moved with his family to Barcelona; in 1963 he started out as an apprentice of the painter Ramon Sanvisens while studying at the Massana School. Two years later, he enrolled at the Sant Jordi School of Fine Art, where he graduates as a Lecturer in Art, while obtaining prizes in painting, drawing and engraving throughout his studies; in 1966, he receives a scholarship from Barcelona City Council to travel to Italy. From this moment he embarked on an artist career full of national and international awards and acclaim. The sculpture Primavera (Spring) is a fine example of his sculptural output in bronze, a technique he learned from his stay, in 1969, at the Ramon Vilá de Valls Foundry, where he learned the process and the
possibilities of this sculptural procedure. 17th Julio Antonio Sculpture Award, 1972 Art Biennial.
