Primordial Jump

Michael Meilahn's two careers – as a farmer and an artist – converge and are manifest in much of his artwork. His primary subject matter is none other than corn, sometimes heavily altered, distorted, or magnified. His art tells a story about farming, and includes ideas about genetic modification, a subject which the artist admits plays an important role in both his life and his art.
