This work depicts the moment that Juan Sebastián Elcano took control of the Victoria following Magellan's death and the restructuring of the fleet. The problems and confrontations they experienced with the native tribes did not stop following the death of the Portuguese expeditionary. And so, after burning the Concepción due to its state of disrepair, the crew was split between the Trinidad, captained by Gonzalo Gómez de Espinosa, and the Victoria, captained by Juan Sebastián Elcano.
