historical photography - Oskar Nedbal got a plenty of characters into his ballet named Princess Hyacinta - from Kačenka, Franta, Wenceslas and Mařka, Semiramide over to Cleopatra. Not only dancers participated in portraying those roles, but also actors (eg. Anna Sedláčková or Karel Hašler). Havlíčková Anna (1884-1970) was indeed a dancer, but when the NT missed dancers, she also danced in many man´s roles. The picture was taken on a favorite place of photographers - on the balcony of a historic building of NT. But this time the photographer did not want to bothe by adjusting the background, therefore, it remained in realistic form (even with a tap on the wall).
