Prins Hendrikkade is an etching done by the Dutch artist Cornelius Brandenburg (1883-1954) in 1920. The Prins Hendrikkade or Prince Henry’s Quay is a street in the center of Amsterdam. On the left of the artwork the Round Lutheran Church also known as the Cupola Church can be seen. Short Biography: Cornelis (Cor) Brandenburg was born in Wormerveer in 1883. He studied at the Drawing School for Craft in 1890 and at the Academy for Fine Arts in Amsterdam. He started out as a ceramic painter at ‘de Distel’ factory from about 1903 but by the 1920s he was well established as a graphic artist. Brandenburg passes away in Amsterdam in 1954.
