Engraving depicts a game of cricket underway; one man has bowled underarm, the batsman holds a curved bat aloft, a wicketkeeper crouches behind a two-stump wicket, gentleman fielders stand around, and a scorer sits in the front RH corner, marking notches in a stick. Inscribed beneath the image is the word, "CRICKET", with scrolling around it, on either side of which is written an ode to cricket.
