Print of General Cibrao Biography

This montage from the Jornal Occidente (30th September 1903) features a portrait of General Luciano Cibrão, along with an excerpt from a news story about him. General Cibrão was born on 12th June 1836 and, at the age of 18, he joined the army in the city of Porto, thus beginning his renowned military career. In 1902, at the age of 66, he was promoted to General and was commander of the 3rd military division, based in Porto. His recognised gifts of illustration make General Cibrão one of the possible tutors of Jaime Guimarães Cibrão, his nephew.
