A small print of Crystal Palace in Sydenham, London, with its fountains and the famous 'concrete dinosaurs' of Mr Waterhouse Hawkins erected in 1854, with terraces, cascades and steps from the palace. Annotated in pencil on back: 'Crystal Palace and Extinct animals, 3/6'. Originally issued by George Baxter as CL 193 in 1854 and also called 'Baxter's Gems of the Crystal Palace No.3, Exterior and Gardens from the Railway'. However, lack of signature and colouration of sky confirms this is a later Le Blond printing from the Baxter plate.
