Medium: Medium: cardboard, paper, printed wool samples Technique: printed on plain weave and 2/2 twill
Viewing Notes: Multiple Choice: From Sample to ProductInspired by the paisley shawls of Kashmir and other Eastern textiles, designers in the 1860s and 1870s mixed and matched a variety of perceived exotic motifs in their roller-printed textiles. Even the characteristic jagged outlines of Kashmiri hand-woven twills were successfully translated into printed fabrics.
