About the craft: Dokra craft is one of the earliest methods of non-ferrous metal casting known to human civilization. The lostor vanishing wax casting method (cire perdue) of metal casting is a very primitive technique tracing its origins to the Indus Valley civilization. Dokra statues are revered all over the world for its simplicity and enthralling folk motifs. The rustic and antique finish further adds to its appeal.
