Procession of the Florentine Saints

The frescoes of the Chapel’s walls was carried out by Jacopo Vignali between 1622 and 1623. On the four walls of the room is depicted, in eight panels, the long procession of the saints and beatified of Florence and of the country. The figrures, preceded by the Patron-Saint John the Baptist and accompanied by lively cherubs, proceed from east to west, from the Militant church to the Triumphant church.
