The Mello Abreu Salon (1855) belonged to the oldest piano shop in Porto, founded by José Mello de Abreu. It hosted several concerts organised by Bernardo Moreira de Sá as well as student auditions, at the time commonly called student “rehearsals” or “exercises”. (Liberal: 2013)
