This set of posters was designed to announce the up-coming issue of a magazine named Tategumi Yokogumi No.51, published by the world renowned font maker, Morisawa in Osaka, Japan.

This magazine is being arranged in two editorial sections; one on the left side page, the other on the right side page of the magazine. They are being read from both the right and left. Therefore, there are no differentiation between front and back cover. The cover which open to the right side shows a large Kanji of right “右” which is composed of many small Kanji of left “左” and visa versa for the cover which opens to the left.

The colour arrangement on both of the covers also follows the editorial type arrangement in the two sections; on the “right” section types are being arranged horizontally while they are being arranged vertically on the “left” section.

In this particular issue the main article is on “Kanji”. The very fine red coloured line highlights the letters of “K-A-N-J-I” and simultaneously links the two covers together.
