This is an illustration from German painter and printmaker Albrecht Dürer's Vier bucher von Menschlicher Proportion or Four books on Human proportion, first published in 1524 and here in a 1528 edition.
The volume applies geometrical theory to constructing the human figure - male and female - from different angles. It also contains Dürer's views on aesthetics. This figure shows how the proportions remain consistent with a male body viewed from different angles, it is situated p. 226.
