Proposal made by Magellan to the officials of the House of Trade of Seville that Rui Faleiro should not sail with this armada according to His Majesty's command by letter handed over in Barcelona on July 26, 1519, and in his place Juan de Cartagena; that Francisco Faleiro, brother of the former, should not sail either since he had not provided the East-West longitudinal measurement as promised; and that the prohibition of Portugal travel in this armada should be lifted as this affected his relatives and their servants (August 9, 1519, Seville).
