Municipal firefighters prepare the Prince of Wales Hotel National Historic Site to face the Kenow Wildfire, during early September, 2017, by wetting it down and creating a protective bubble of humidity.
The image shows two fire trucks parked outside the Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton National Park. On the right side of the image, one truck is shooting a stream of water high onto the building’s peaked roof. A fine curtain of mist from the water hose shines brightly above the hotel, catching rays from the summer sun hanging directly overhead in a brilliant blue sky. Behind the hotel to the left, a mountain peak soars high above against the skyline.
