Protester atop General John Logan statue, Grant Park

A young man stood aloft the head of a Civil War general's statue while a Grant Park crowd cheered. Police officers broke his arm getting him off. With the intensity of convention week feeding emotions and getting adrenaline pumping, restraint proved a challenge for participants on all sides of the confrontation.
